JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN).
Location: 11260 Route 9W, Coxsackie, NY 12051
Shift Schedule: 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM.
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Pay Rate: $54 on W2.
Guarantee Hours: 40.
 
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments and triage sick calls.
Provide routine and emergency nursing care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Document all care accurately in the electronic health record.
Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, etc.
Support mental health and behavioral care coordination.
Participate in infection control, medication administration, and wound care.
Ensure compliance with facility safety, security, and health protocols.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the facility.
 
Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Correctional, ER, or Med-Surg preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, secure, and regulated environment.
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs).
 
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
 
Certifications:
Current and active RN license in the state of New York (unencumbered).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – AHA preferred.
COVID-19 vaccination may be required per facility guidelines.
