What you'll do:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced RF/microwave/mmW systems, components, and circuits. Apply domain knowledge in the design of next generation RF amplifier subsystems and components.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, from concept through production.
  • Contribute to the determination, planning and execution of technology roadmaps and company funded IRAD aligned with strategic growth opportunities.
  • Interface with critical customers supporting requirements definition, design reviews and application-specific requests.
  • Support the capture of new business and the completion of bid proposals including technical and cost volume generation.
  • Conduct and oversee advanced tests on electrical systems and components to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards. Analyze test results and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on amplifier design, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior engineers, promoting their professional growth and technical skills.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering team.
  • Represent the engineering department in executive meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure success of product.
Requirements:
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, per Federal requirements.
  • This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering, with at least 6 years in a noteworthy leadership role.
  • 10+ years of experience in RF/microwave product development, specifically in the area of RF/microwave/mmW amplifier design, test and manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of amplifier design principles, RF/microwave/mmW circuit design, layout and packaging for low noise and high-power applications
  • Experience working with RF/microwave/mmW test equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in CAD tools, simulation software, and test equipment.
  • Proven track record of managing engineering projects, meeting design deadlines and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
