The Level II Registered Nurse is responsible for providing competent patient care based on established standards within an ICU Stepdown unit. This role includes clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research-based practice. The nurse may assume expanded responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.

Responsibilities:
- Provision of competent care based on established standards.
- Perform Q1 neuro checks.
- Management of EVDs, lumbar drains, and sub-dural drains.
- Administration and monitoring of 3%NS and cardene drips.
- Management of arterial lines.
- Post-operative care for carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, and DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator).
- Management of VP shunts and seizures.
- May include charge nurse responsibilities.
- May include precepting responsibilities.
- May include committee member responsibilities.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Telemetry Experience
- Stepdown/PCU Experience
- Two (2) years of experience
- Experience in high acuity stroke and neurosurgery
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- EPIC experience within the last year
Special Considerations:
- Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
- Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties as per unit needs.
- Start date of 12/15/2025 only.

- Rotating shifts (Day, Evening, Night)
- Weekends and Holidays as required
