School Social Worker – K-6 th grade

ABOUT THE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER ROLE:

• Manage a caseload of K-6 th grade students.
• Support in a Therapeutic Day School environment for students that have emotional disturbance and/or behavior concerns.
• Work alongside a supportive, collaborative team.
• Partner with parents/guardians, staff, and administration to support the needs of students.
• Assess, identify, and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.
• Perform consultations with classroom teachers and be a resource for school site personnel on mental health and social/emotional issues that may affect classroom performance.
• More duties as assigned.

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required.
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required.
• Dependable, flexible, and dedicated to supporting the social-emotional and educational needs of students.
