Security Guard Job Description

IronGate Private Security, Inc. is seeking an entry-level to one-year experienced Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Excellent communication skills and possession of a Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigation Services (BSIS) are required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicles to ensure the security and safety of the premises, clients, and employees.

• Monitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients, visitors, and employees with inquiries, directions, and general assistance.

• Conduct regular security checks to identify potential security risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.

• Enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain order and protect property.

• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly and appropriately, following established protocols and guidelines.

• Write accurate and detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and daily activities.

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency medical services as needed.

• Maintain a professional and vigilant presence, deterring criminal activity through proactive observation and intervention.

• Stay updated on security best practices, industry trends, and relevant regulations.

• Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, visitors, and fellow team members.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations.

• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform assigned duties for extended periods.

• Sound judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.

• Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.

• Prior experience as a security guard or related field is preferred but not required.
