As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will interact with customers and staff, providing outstanding customer service while upholding security-related standards. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control procedures, monitoring entry and exit points as directed by site-specific requirements.
• Communicate professionally with store personnel, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding any incidents, patrol activities, or other security-related matters encountered during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
