Job Summary: Class A CDL driver capable to operate Semi-dump 30+ foot trailer bed safely. This position will be hauling sand, pea gravel and three-quarter rock between quarry daily and equipment. Home every night. Duties/Responsibilities: Daily inspection of vehicle and any additional equipment before and after operating. Complete appropriate paperwork of inspection. Report any needed repairs timely. Always operate equipment safely. Complete Haul, Dumpster tickets and timesheets appropriately for billing and documentation purposes. Safety Required Skills/Abilities: CDL, Class A Clean MVR Full time work shift Monday through Friday. Saturday is optional Ability to operate Semi-Tractor - Dump Trailer 30+ foot trailer bed safely Follow all regulations set by State and department of transportation (DOT) Physically able to pass DOT physical, minimum every 24 month or more often when determined by the medical examiner or a driver whose ability to perform his/her normal duties has been impaired by physical or mental injury or disease Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Class A CDL Pass pre-employment Background and Motor Vehicle Record along with Drug and Alcohol screening Benefits: Paid time off Holiday pay Floating Holiday Medical and voluntary insurance Physical Requirements: Ability to climb up and down regularly, up to 2 feet into vehicle Prolonged periods of sitting while driving vehicle Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times Horizon Construction and Development
