Job Description
The Recruiter III will own the full cycle of recruitment for a variety of roles with varying levels of technical complexity across Clayton's HomeTeam Business Unit. The Recruiter III partners closely with hiring managers to identify needs, implement recruitment strategies, source and screen qualified candidates, and ensure a positive candidate experience while efficiently and effectively filling vacant positions with top quality talent.
Full-cycle Recruitment Management - Manage the entire recruitment process from job posting up to onboarding which includes, but is not limited to, screening resumes, conducting interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and facilitating candidate assessments and/or drug screens to ensure a smooth efficient hiring process.
- Collaborate with leaders and HR partner to understand job requirements, explain the recruitment process, set and manage expectations, and develop a customized plan for recruiting if the situation warrants.
- Communicate with leadership about process stages and challenges; handles difficult conversations with leaders as needed.
- Develop a thorough understanding and utilization of Workday's applicant tracking system, acting as an administrator and subject matter expert - troubleshooting and providing education where needed.
- Actively source and attract qualified candidates for more complex, higher-level roles by utilizing various channels (e.g., job board, social media, networking, and professional organizations).
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of local and regional labor markets, identifying trends and adjusting processes and practices accordingly.
- Partner with staffing agencies to fill more senior roles or hard-to-fill positions; manage the relationship with staffing agencies to ensure candidate/job alignment and reasonable fee structures.
- Develop solutions to identify candidates for specialty areas of the business to minimize dependence on staffing agencies.
- Oversee the Home Office referral program by providing guidance, determining eligibility, and answering questions when necessary.
- Ensure that all recruitment processes support and align with Clayton's DEIB initiatives and objectives.
Candidate Evaluation & Selection - Conduct detailed assessments of candidates including behavioral interviews and skills testing (if applicable), to ensure they meet the job qualifications and are a cultural fit for the organization and will represent Clayton's vision and values.
- Administer Caliper assessment to candidates and interpret results with leadership.
- Partner with compensation team to discuss new hire offer salary.
- Will develop and maintain an excellent understanding of Clayton's pay philosophy and system(s) to effectively work closely across departments to advocate for and defend appropriate salary ranges to hiring managers, candidates, and the Compensation team.
- Negotiate offers and guide candidates through acceptance process.
Performance Tracking & Reporting - Monitor and report key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rate, source of hire).
- Analyze recruiting trends and share insights to improve the hiring process as necessary; monitor hiring trends in local and national labor market to maintain competitive positioning in recruiting.
- Offer recruiting expertise to help improve business processes in Workday ATS.
- Work with leadership to align recruiting efforts and initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience with bachelor's degree
- Prior proven experience successfully recruiting specialized or high-level roles
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and recruiting tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Experience with applicant tracking system (ATS); Workday preferred
- Ability to build trust and nurture relationships with Team Members and leaders at all levels
- Must have strong attention to detail, personal organization, and time management skills
