Job Description
The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) is a national human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment. The clients of the Entertainment Community Fund are a diverse, dynamic and engaging group of working professionals which include musicians, actors, stage managers, set designers, hair and make-up stylists, costume designers, ushers, and radio hosts, to name a few. The agency is seeking a clinically oriented Social Worker to join our Entertainment Assistance Program (EAP) providing client-centered clinical case management, supportive counseling, and financial assistance to adult professionals in performing arts and entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The EAP Social Worker will engage with a wide variety of individuals and their families in a clinical process that facilitates development of assessments and treatment plans. This includes clinical case management, evaluating and advocating for financial assistance, as well as serving as a liaison to additional resources. The social worker will help the client access public and community resources and facilitate connections to health insurance, medical providers, public benefits and community organizations.
The Social Worker will provide short term supportive counseling, mental health assessments, crisis intervention and referrals to individuals and their families. The social worker will, also, facilitate clinical and support groups, as well as develop workshops that address the needs of the performing arts and entertainment community.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other programs of The Entertainment Community Fund as well as unions, industry management and community organizations to facilitate treatment plans and services. Additionally, they will identify and develop relationships with community and mental health resources and provide outreach to the community to promote services.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a full-time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s National Headquarters Office in Times Square, New York City. The Entertainment Community Fund offers a competitive salary, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including: choice of multiple health plans, dental plan, voluntary vision, flex and dependent care plans, employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance, supplemental life and disability, 401(k) plan with generous employer match, tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off and Wage Works commuter benefit or paid parking, depending on location.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with licensure type and years of experience. The salary range for candidates who hold an MSW is between $69,000 - $73,422. The salary range for candidates who hold an LCSW is between $76,620 - $78,422. Internships, volunteer work, and gaps in employment will not be counted towards years of experience.
