Software Tester-Entry Level

Contract: Alameda, California, US

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct software complaint investigations on mobile applications (e.g., Android and other mobile devices).
• Perform test cases to replicate issues and identify root causes for complaints.
• Analyze data using advanced Excel functions (e.g., V-lookup, pivot tables) to support investigations.
• Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout complaint investigation processes.
• Utilize JIRA and Confluence to document and manage tasks related to complaint investigations (strongly preferred but not required).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and drive solutions for ongoing issues.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on performance enhancement and procedural improvements.
• Ensure that the daily, weekly, and monthly metrics related to case investigations are met with high quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field); candidates with relevant experience and lower education levels will be considered.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in mobile application testing, software complaint investigations, or a related role.

Technical Skills:

• Expert proficiency in Excel (including V-lookup, pivot tables, and other advanced functions).
• Ability to follow and adhere to SOPs.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in mobile application testing.
• Experience writing test cases and designing experiments.
• Familiarity with Post Market Surveillance in a regulated industry.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.

Pay Range: @25/hr to $30/hr
