Job Description

Title: Temporary Staffing Recruiter

Shift: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm on-site (hybrid after period of demonstrated performance)

Location: Nanuet, NY

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 per year base w/ some flex (this is fixed, there is no draw) plus bonus/commission (first year earning target $100,000-$150,000 depending on performance)

Bonus/Commission: Percentage of temp and perm fill gross profit after covering base salary/benefit cost + discretionary bonus based on overall performance

The Temporary Staffing Recruiter role is a critical position to maintaining and growing temporary staffing department operations. This position exists primarily to recruit and fill a range of hourly Temporary and Temp-to-Hire positions. Additionally the role functions to support operations related to the existing temporary workforce. This person will work diligently to fill temporary vacancies both light industrial and office related as quickly as possible, while maintaining ATS systems and suggesting search tools and strategies for recruitment process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Fill temporary warehouse/light industrial positions and office/administrative positions as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Schedule appointments for new job seekers out of work and open to temporary employment
  • Answerphone calls to main line, manage all calls from potential temporary staffing candidates, and route others to appropriate internal contact
  • Monitor and provide first point contact to all online applicants and walk ins
  • Perform initial phone screen and walk in greet with all job seekers out of work and potentially a fit for temporary employment
  • Update COATS (ATS) information and resumes for all existing job seekers
  • Enter all resumes and create COATS files for those currently working who may be a fit for openings in the future
  • Post temporary related job postings to Craigslist, Indeed, and other sites as needed
  • Attend local job fairs to recruit additional applicants for the database
  • Screen local employment related social media pages and perform routine community outreach to capture potential applicants to add to the COATS data base or fill current temp openings
  • Assist in timesheet collection process on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure all hours are entered into payroll
  • Handle onboarding and direct deposit paperwork for temporary employees and payrollees
  • Provide Spanish translation and conversational translation as needed for applicants (preferred, not required)
  • Administrate all necessary background checks and drug screenings for all openings and candidate types

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, or related work or education experience
  • 2-7+ years of demonstrated experience filling a high volume of hourly positions, either in an company or agency setting
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish (Native or Written and Conversationally fluent) STRONGLY preferred
  • Must be motivated by the desire to earn money while helping people and growing businesses
  • Must be very aggressive and self-motivated
  • Must be able to think in a complex out of the box way
  • Must be an exceptional people person, have a high level of interpersonal communication skills, and able to read people and personalities well
  • Must be local to the Nanuet, NY office and able to work full-time on-site for at least 12 months until remote Fridays would be considered
  • Must be computer savvy, and have experience with ATS and CRM systems
