A Structural Analysis Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Seal Beach, CA. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and a minimum of 7 years of experience analyzing airframe structure. Job Duties:

• Static and fatigue structural analysis for aircraft primary structure
• Perform detailed sizing and static stress evaluation of parts and assemblies
• Extract and utilize finite element analysis internal loads data
• Produce and evaluate finite element models to support sizing and structural analysis
• Produce, review and critique structural analysis substantiation Strength Check Notes/Reports
• Ensure work packages conform to the technical work statement scope, schedule and quality
• Work independently or in teams to evaluate design sufficiency and improve analysis processes
• Effectively present (oral and written) engineering requirements and results
• Provide technical and operational leadership at the task-group or IPT (integrated product team) level
• Work effectively in an IPT environment and across facilities and groups

Required:

• 7 years' experience performing aerospace structural analysis
• Deep and fundamental understanding of aircraft structures analysis, repairs, manufacturing processes, and materials
• Proficiency in classical static stress analysis and allowables determination
• Expertise with Microsoft office tools
• Experience with Boeing analysis toolsets
• Proficiency in fatigue analysis
• Damage tolerance analysis experience
• Previous Boeing analysis experience
• Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work shifts, including weekends or overtime
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Boeing 7-Series and McDonnell Douglas aircraft experience preferred
• Experience with MSC PATRAN and NASTRAN preferred
• Experience developing structural approaches in novel situations preferred

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $124,800 to $170,560 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
