To be successful as a Structured Product Developer – BA4, you should have:

• Experience in Core Java and in-depth knowledge and experiences in developing complex multi-threaded applications and working on projects with distributed systems

• Basic knowledge on the equity derivatives business, especially the structured derivatives business

• Experience of making the complex business deliveries by collaborating closely with the equity derivatives front office: traders, sales, and structurers

• Deep knowledge of rational database, Oracle or SQL server for instance

Other highly valued skills include:

• Fast learner in getting involved into new business, new technology and new ideas quickly and iterate through them with growing capacity

• Knowledge and experiences with NoSQL databases, middleware, containers, distributed cache and other modern technologies

• Experiences with agile development and comfortable with front-office pace.

This role is in our New York office.

Minimum Salary: $75,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
