General Description
The Coffee Shop Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of Waterman’s Coffee Shop. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role ensures that the Coffee Shop is maintained at a high standard, providing a welcoming environment and simple but delicious food options for all visitors and staff. This position is open for the summer but there is a possibility for year-round employment.
Coffee Shop Responsibilities
Overall management of the Coffee Shop
Recruit, schedule, train, and manage Coffee Shop attendants & volunteers
Act as Coffee Shop attendant as needed
Manage Coffee Shop inventory, keeping all items sufficiently stocked at all times
Communicate orders with Waterman’s vendors
Pick up orders at North Haven Inn & Market weekly
Work with WCC administration to maintain appropriate pricing and inviting food offerings
Collaboratively ensure that Community Room and all public spaces are tidy, clean and inviting to the public
Requirements and Skills
High energy and enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills
Exemplary time-management and organizational skills
Detail oriented, efficient and versatile; ability to work independently or within a team
Computer proficiency needed to perform some tasks related to this position
