JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for system safety analysis of military weapon systems
* Responsible for participation in risk assessments/resolution and mishap investigations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Possess active DoD Security Clearance (investigation completed withing last 5 years)
* BS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree with 9 years of relevant/related experience OR
* MS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree with 7 years of relevant/related experience
* Demonstrated ability in the application of MIL-STD-882E to analyze, recommend, and drive safety into system design, equipment and procedures in order to mitigate or eliminate hazards
* Experience documenting hazards with a closed-loop Hazard Tracking System (HTS)
* Familiarity with electrical circuit design
* Demonstrated ability to apply system safety engineering principles to develop safety documentation in accordance with MIL-STD-882E such as SSPP, PHA, FHA, SHA/SuSHA, Bent Pin Analyses, FTA, SAR and Software Safety Analyses
* Demonstrated ability to develop, review, update, and approve system safety artifacts and system safety requirements
* History of demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to work independently, and effectively communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit schematics
* Experience with implementing and testing software safety requirements
* Have experience in the design of missile systems
* Strong working knowledge of military system safety and process standards and their Industry equivalent such as MIL-STD-882, RCC 319, AFSPCMAN 91-710, ASTM, ANSI, NEC, AFOSH, AOP-52, JOTP-051, PESHE, NFPA
* Knowledge of System Safety Incident Investigation process
