Job Description

I am currently working with a leading regional law firm , who are actively looking to recruit an experienced attorney who specializes in Tax to join their Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities:

• This role will assist with a broad array of matters, including sophisticated and complex tax cases.
• Work with a variety of national and international clients to develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize their financial positions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Offer advice on fund formation, investment management transactions and partnership taxation.
• You will also be given the opportunity to assist with mergers & acquisitions and divestitures, as well as representing buyers and sellers in transaction tax matters.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a leading accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar of Illinois.
• 4+ year(s) of experience in tax law, ideally gained with a large law firm setting.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
