Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Train Conductor located in Port Arthur, TX. The Train Conductor will be responsible for the safe operation of trains, including coordinating train activities, inspecting trains, managing switches, and ensuring timely transport and delivery of cargo. Daily tasks include working closely with other railroad personnel, handling railcar movements, and complying with all railroad safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and managing trains, including coordination of train activities and inspection of trains
• Knowledge of switch management and ability to ensure safe and timely transport of cargo
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with other railroad personnel
• Understanding of railroad safety regulations and commitment to adhering to them
• Ability to handle railcar movements and transloading tasks
• Physical stamina to work in an on-site railroad environment
• Previous railroad or transportation industry experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in rail operations is beneficial
