Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatrics Home Infusion role requiring strong pediatric infusion skills and dual MD/DC licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a home health and infusion setting providing care to pediatric patients from newborn through young adult
• Service areas include Prince George's County, Montgomery County, Southern Howard County, and parts of Washington, DC
• Assignments involve high-tech skilled nursing including central line and peripheral IV management
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Home visit assignments with mileage reimbursement for travel over 25 miles per day
• Parking and tolls are reimbursed
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Provide, coordinate, and teach skilled infusion care in patient homes
• Education and support for patients and families from varied social and cultural backgrounds
• RN provides comprehensive care, including skilled evaluation and treatments, in accordance with MD and DC Nursing scopes of practice
• A cell phone is provided for clinical use
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No radius restrictions for local candidates except for Howard County General, which does not accept local candidates within 60 miles

\n \n Requirements\n

• Current RN license valid in both Maryland and Washington, DC (compact RN not accepted)
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Valid Maryland driver's license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle required
• Minimum of 3 years pediatric experience in an infusion suite or clinic, emergency department, or PICU
• Demonstrated expertise with PIV placement for all pediatric ages and management of central venous access devices
• Experience administering infusions such as IVIG, Remicade, and Entyvio
• Epic EMR charting experience required
