Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

Layout, fit, fabricates and assembles components for Heat Processing Equipment. Work includes assembly, dismantling and repair activity.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align and fit components together.
• Clamp and tack weld parts to secure proper positioning for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC or MIG welding techniques, as well as TIG and alloy welding techniques as needed.
• Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are square and level.
• Perform tasks with sheet metal, fabricate oven panels, including sheet metal, spot weld, and application of insulating materials.
• Perform tasks such as welding, cutting, and grinding on plate and structural steel.
• Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.
• 5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass a weld and quick math test.
• Experience bending metal and cutting angles.
• Experience working with structural steel 1/4"+ gauge thick.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication is the main skill set.
• Certification is not required.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with a potentially high noise level. Candidates must have work boots (steel toe not required). The position involves 25% welding, with the remaining time spent fabricating, building, prepping material, and installing insulation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, California.

Pay starts at $24 and we can negotiate up to $28+ depending on experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
