Position Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performing various tasks related to installing trim, flooring, hardware, and handling other miscellaneous construction and renovation tasks. The candidate must be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Trim Installation: Accurately measure, cut, and install trim, including baseboards, crown molding, and door casings, ensuring a high-quality finish and proper alignment.
Flooring Installation: Install various types of flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, including subfloor preparation and leveling.
Hardware Installation: Install and repair hardware such as doors, bathroom hardware, mirrors, handles, and locks, ensuring proper functionality and alignment.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform various tasks as required, including but not limited to drywall repair, painting touch-ups, and assisting with other construction activities.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and properly handle tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled laborer role or similar position. Experience with trim, flooring, and hardware installation is essential.
Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Strong understanding of construction and installation techniques.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with construction and renovation work.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy in measurement, cutting, and installation to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA) or licenses are a plus but not required.
Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments as needed.
