Graphic Design Intern

Masonicare Corporate Marketing - Wallingford, CT

Day Shift / 24hrs/wk to 40hrs/wk

The Graphic Design Intern creates branded graphic design materials for print and digital ads, brochures, and other design needs and collateral material for all Masonicare affiliates and managed properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. This position is responsible for designing and producing marketing materials for Masonicare affiliates and managed properties presenting a high quality visual presence within established brand standards, under the tutelage of the Graphic Design Artist.

1. Collaborate with Corporate Marketing department and other colleagues/departments across the continuum.
   
    
2. Support the graphic design artist working with external printers, receiving and approving proofs, coordinating delivery of material to ensure appropriate and timely receipt and distribution.

1. Produce ads (print & digital) based on approved media schedule and print or digital specifications provided. 

1. Update existing printed materials as required.
   
    
2. Other responsibilities may include photography of staff and events as requested; managing company asset archive and share file system including all logo formats with brand guidelines and instructions.

1. Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents/patients recognizing their age, needs, abilities and physical condition.

1. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Enrolled in or possess a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and production. 

Experience: Experience with graphical layout, design, project management and digital design. Previous experience with marketing preferred.
