Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as an Investment Banking Analyst at Matrix Capital Markets Group, Inc. located in Richmond, VA. As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will work closely with senior team members on deal execution and client relations.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performance of financial and valuation analysis, including in-depth financial modeling and analysis of deal structures

• Research of financial and strategic buyers

• Drafting transaction marketing materials such as confidential information memoranda and management presentations

• Facilitating due diligence requests including the management of virtual data rooms

• Preparing pitch presentations for meetings with prospective clients

• Exposure to other aspects of client engagements, including communication with prospective buyers; and participation in client and potential buyer meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree

• Exceptional academic track record with relevant finance and accounting coursework

• Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of intellectual curiosity

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, transaction-focused team environment

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Must obtain applicable FINRA securities licenses within six months of employment

• Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or work experience in finance, accounting, or other related field

• Holder or candidate of any of the following designations or degrees: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
