POSITION SUMMARY

Wild Ridge Landscape is seeking a creative and technically skilled Landscape Designer to develop innovative, functional, and sustainable commercial landscape designs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can combine aesthetic vision with practical implementation, collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and estimators to deliver high-quality landscape solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong design background, proficiency in 2D/3D rendering software, and the ability to translate client needs into cost-effective, visually appealing outdoor spaces.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop custom landscape designs for commercial properties, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Create 2D and 3D renderings, sketches, and construction documents using design software.
  • Incorporate sustainable practices, hardscaping elements, plant selection, irrigation, and outdoor lighting into design plans.
  • Assess site conditions, zoning regulations, and client preferences to develop site-specific solutions that align with project goals.
  • Revise designs based on client feedback, site conditions, and project constraints to ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Work closely with the sales and estimating teams to support bid proposals with strong visual concepts.
  • Provide technical guidance and material recommendations to installation crews

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to develop innovative, visually appealing designs that meet both functional and budgetary requirements.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
  • Ability to produce accurate, high-quality renderings and construction documents.
  • Strong ability to engage with clients, present ideas effectively, and work cross-functionally with estimating and project management teams.
  • Ability to modify designs based on constraints, site challenges, and evolving client needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in landscape design
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D and 2D design via software
  • Degree relative to industry i.e. Architecture - Preferred
