Maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and surrounding areas. Positively communicate information on pool rules and Y programs.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Must be 15 years of age or older
• Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard certified.
• Current CPR, First Aid & AED certifications required.
• Must have the ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness and possess mature judgment and sound decision making.
• Ability to relate to people in a positive, but firm manner must be observant, safety conscious and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate information on aquatics and other Y programs to members and participants
• Maintains effective relationships with the members, participants and other staff. Develops rapport with members.
• Conveys basic information on Y programs and schedules to members, and as appropriate, refers members to other programs and/or staff.
• Performs routine maintenance of the pool and surrounding areas, to ensure cleanliness.

Salary Description


$14.00 -$16.00 an hour ST CLOUD AREA FAMILY YMCA
