Perform offshore testing of AUV systems to support engineering development, acceptance testing, and customer operations. Troubleshoot AUV issues and collaborate with other engineering groups to quickly resolve problems. Detailed record keeping and reporting of daily offshore activities. Oversee and maintain a fleet of asset AUV systems as well as the GDMS research vessel the R/V Resolution. Lead customer training courses on the operation and maintenance of AUV systems. What you bring to the table: Strong technical skills in software, electronics, and mechanical troubleshooting, as well as a knack for hands-on repair and maintenance. Ability to quickly learn new software (AUV operations suite, sonar tools, etc.) Data processing and analysis skills Strong communication and technical report writing Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time (most travel assignments range between 1-3 weeks in length) Able to pass the requirements for a US Coast Guard physical examination CG-719K. Able to obtain a Massachusetts 1B Hoisting Engineer's License within the first 6 months of employment. Able to carry substantial weight, support extended work hours, and work in a wide range of weather conditions.
