Location: Orinda, CA
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and qualified School Psychologist to join our team in Orinda, CA, for the 2025 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position that requires immediate availability to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services to students in an elementary and middle school setting, promoting mental health, supporting academic success, and contributing to the overall well-being of students within the school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with various needs, including those with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Participate in school meetings and provide recommendations for support services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for students as needed.
  • Foster a positive school climate and work to promote mental health awareness and well-being.
  • Support the development of positive behavior intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology.
  • Experience working with K-8 students, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and outside agencies.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach to student mental health.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with special education assessments and IEP development.
  • Crisis intervention training (e.g., Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other languages (preferred but not required).
