As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere within a dynamic retail location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to assist customers and team members, while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This position also requires driving as part of your patrol responsibilities. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting customers, visitors, and staff as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors within the location.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as appropriate.
• Support loss prevention efforts by being alert to potential shoplifting or policy violations and documenting any incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
