Why We Are Hiring for This Role

• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) collaborating with manufacturing teams to enable scalable production.
• Design the full-body mechanical system of the humanoid robot, integrating all subsystems (actuators, electronics, sensors, compute, thermal systems). Optimize for weight, strength, and manufacturability without compromising durability.
• Ensure structural integrity, thermal management, and vibration resistance to prevent failures.
• Work cross-functionally with AI, electrical, and actuator teams for system integration and reliability.
• Scale the robots design from prototype to production, addressing engineering challenges along the way.

What We Are Looking For

• Expertise in lightweight materials, thermal management, and manufacturability for scalable, cost-effective production.
• Strong background in kinematics, structural mechanics, and system integration.
• Deep experience in full-body mechanical design for robotics, exoskeletons, aerospace, or high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in precision mechanical design, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and failure prevention.
• Experience with FEA and multibody dynamics simulation.
• Comfort working with large, multi-component assemblies ensuring subsystem compatibility.
• Ability to optimize strength-to-weight ratios and prevent stress or wear issues.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related; PhD is a plus.
