Description:

We require a senior-level Excel Technical Consultant who is a true subject matter expert in Microsoft Excel and modern solution architecture. This individual must possess hands-on mastery of advanced Excel features and development, ideally backed by formal Microsoft certification or demonstrable architect-level skills. The consultant should be comfortable with a variable weekly commitment, and must outpace all current internal power users and IT staff in relevant knowledge.

Pay rate: $50-$60/hr W2

Responsibilities:

The client is modernizing legacy Excel solutions and supporting M365 adoption. how we can take Excel 2016 users and migrate to M365 with the same or much better performance and consistent positive results?

Take some of the excel dashboards and solve the 2016 to M365 challenge. Some folks are on Excel 2106. Old VBA Code, Power Query.

Should know about memory, new features in M365 Excel. Help with the users, understand the basic struggles they've had.

Users need to be able to maintain the work.

Experience Requirements:

• Expert Excel Skills

• Extensive experience building, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex Excel workbooks for business workflows.

• Demonstrated command of advanced Excel functionality:

• VBA scripting and automation

• Power Query (mid to advanced)

• Modern functions: LET, LAMBDA, XLOOKUP, dynamic arrays, Office Scripts

• Integrating with Microsoft 365 (M365) environments

• Recent track record of applying new/expert-level features to real-world scenarios.

• Solution Architecture Certification

• Holds a Microsoft Solution Architect or Specialist certification

• or can provide evidence of solution architect-level skills relating to Microsoft business applications.

• Experienced in translating business challenges into scalable Excel solutions.

• Able to advise on environment optimization (cloud, desktop, Citrix, Azure) as it relates to Excel usage (not back-end engineering work).

• Technical Authority

• Must be the most knowledgeable Excel Microsoft solutions expert on the team; no in-house power user or IT resource should surpass their skills. --We have pretty bright individuals, not SMEs, but will ask challenging questions.

• Expected to provide coaching, training, best practices, and serve as primary escalation point for all Excel-related matters.

• Analytical Communication Skills

• Proven ability to analyze user workloads and recommend right-sized technical solutions.

• Strong communicator; can write concise documentation and articulate advanced concepts to business and technical audiences.

• Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with insurance or financial services workflows (preferred, not required).

• Experience modernizing legacy Excel solutions and supporting M365 adoption.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
