Job Description
Tailor or seamstress with professional experience wanted for a full or part time position.
Due to demand we are paying significantly over standard hourly rates to urgently hire a seamstress or tailor with at least 5 years of sewing experience.
Candidates need to be able to hit the ground running with minimal training, this is not a position for a home sewer or someone who is still learning. This is not a work from home position, candidate must work in store This position pays 50% of the ticketed items – it is extremely important that all candidates be quick and accurate with their sewing to reach their compensation goals. Ideal candidate would be able to work from 10am – 6pm, but there is opportunity to come in earlyRequirements:
Speak & read English well enough to communicate with co-workers and follow instruction
Has experience with multiple industrial machines-straight stitch, blind stitch, overlock, cover stitch
A great work ethic, winning personality, and team player
What you will be doing
Work on a variety of garments-from casual to formal for both men and women. We service all garment types: bridal, formal, men's suits, uniforms, leather, casual and commercial uniform.
What you will not be doing
No counter or customer service.
