The Jacobs Family Foundation (JFF) explores new philanthropic roles and relationships for strengthening under-invested neighborhoods by making grants and other investments that support innovative, practical strategies for community change.
As a partner in community change, the vision of the Jacobs Family Foundation is to be a part of a caring community where people are responsible to each other, where all cultures are embraced, where the sustaining resources are in place for a vibrant economic and philanthropic life, and where residents create the future they envision.
Our work is rooted in the values of:
- Relationship - Working together in learning relationships that allow us to connect as people.
- Respect - Valuing the gifts each person brings to a community and honoring the dignity and worth of all.
- Responsibility - Being responsible to and not for people working for community change.
- Risk - Being innovative and daring in our approach and accepting the risk of failure.
Where We Fund
JFF's funding focus is in support of partners and projects that comprise The Village at Market Creek, a 60-acre community development plan in the Diamond Neighborhoods of southeastern San Diego created by teams of community residents.
