About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing second-line of defence assurance for all risk management related topics, ensuring a robust risk management system, and promoting a strong governance and control culture. Key responsibilities for the Chief Risk Officer include reporting on the company's risk exposures, assessing the alignment of business strategies with risk appetite, and providing risk-focused advice for the firm's remuneration policy. The role also involves overseeing the internal control system, risk and control assessment, and ensuring that risk information and training are adequate for the firm's governing body. This critical role requires a driven and proficient individual who can meet the UK SMF regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing all risks within the framework defined by the management board and will be responsible for the adequacy of risk information, analysis, and training provided to the governing body. The Chief Risk Officer will also be involved in ensuring the quality and suitability of data used for risk assessment, as well as providing oversight and validation of the firm's risk and control reporting.
