Fixed Dental Lab Model Technician

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay: $18–$25/hour (based on experience) + Benefits

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Are you an experienced Model Technician looking to join a busy, modern dental lab where quality and teamwork matter? We're a high-volume fixed dental laboratory in Charlotte, NC, processing 40–75 units daily—and we’re looking for a skilled technician to support our model department and digital workflow.

Responsibilities include:

• Scanning dental impressions to create accurate STL files using lab scanners.
• Managing the 3D printing process, including file preparation, printer setup, and equipment oversight.
• Pouring, mounting, and articulating stone models with attention to detail and proper occlusion.
• Reviewing both digital and physical models for quality assurance before moving them forward.
• Collaborating with technicians across departments to maintain efficiency and turnaround times.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment and printers to ensure long-term reliability.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a dental lab, particularly in the model or digital department.
• Familiarity with scanning equipment, 3D printing, and digital workflows preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and technical skills in model fabrication.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Able to stand for extended periods and handle lab materials safely.
