Edge Program, Technical Sales And Consulting

Rockwell Automation's Technical Sales and Consulting Program is a world-class, multi-month training program consisting of a combination of sales, technical and professional training that take place in both classroom and on-the-job settings. Join a cohort of peers from all over the world and embark on a journey to become a trusted outcome-based seller. There are two tracks available: Associate Account Manager and Associate Technology Consultant. This posting is for the Associate Technology Consultant role.

Your Responsibilities:

As a member of our Technology Consultant team, you will build relationships with the world's producers and work in partnership with customers, OEMs, systems integrators, and industry partners to solve unique challenges in industry. You will respond to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests capability and benefits of our portfolio to customers. You are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. You will help with commercial marketing activities, interface with product teams, be the contact for product and quality issues, provide post sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support. After completion of the training program, Associate Technology Consultants are placed in one of our field sales offices across the US.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • A valid US drivers license
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customer
  • Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software or Chemical Engineering; Computer Science, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Business, or other technical degrees or similar
  • Previous co-op or intern experience in manufacturing, product marketing, or customer-facing role
  • Must be location flexible
  • Experience and knowledge with technical skills and/or domains
  • You quickly understand complicated subjects and enjoy explaining them in a straightforward way.
  • You recognize customer needs and provide insights in proposing solutions and facilitating change.
  • You can balance competing demands for your time, ensuring partner expectations are managed.
  • You request constructive feedback
  • You seek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or making a decision; you show clear understanding of multiple viewpoints.
  • You can distill information from different data sources to tell the 'story' behind it and make recommendations for next steps.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $74,000 - $76,000 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
